All are welcome to come and enjoy the day and Great Food at our Fire Station!
Update!!: We Just brought our Fire Rating
down from a 10 to a 6, which is Great! After alot of New
equipment,Classes and training we are now working on trying to
get it down to a 5! This is Good as the insurance rates will go
down for Homes & businesses in town.
Thanks to our Fire Chief ( Bobby Fife) and all the Volunteers!
Also a special thanks goes to our Mayor and Aldermans (town councel members) for their support and helping us get Grants ect. for New Fire Trucks and equipment for the station and the personel.

The Pictures are of a
LPG training we did in the summer of 2006. ![]()
LSU Fire Training Dept. personnel in Baton Rouge, came and gave us the LPG training class.
The object of the training was how to access a Burning Propane Tank and control the fire while proceeding and shut a valve off a Propane Tank while it has a ruptured gas line and burning.

The
Pumper at ready!
We
started the training with a water sprinkler simulating the Fire
that would be emulating from a Propane Tank!

I
was getting pretty tired after the Water training....
Then
we suited-up in full gear for the real thing!
Suited
full gear, this time using the real thing!
The Flames are not as
visable during daylight and the camera doesn't capture the flames
as well either.
Now
That is what you call getting close...and the Tank is still
blowing flames
That is how to proceed
and control the flames to a burning tank to shut the valves off!
The
Scene in the evening is spectacular!
The Flames are moe visable at
night.
More pic to come.......
